About the project

The journey from where I was a few years ago to creating a blog on sugar-free baking has been long and exciting. My body, brain and mind have gone through a complete transformation by changing to a sugar-free diet. But it definitely hasn’t been easy.

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I have an extreme love of all things sweet. And I don’t mean that in a cute or quirky kind of way. I mean that I can order three desserts after my main course and finish them. So when I moved to Australia to live the ultimate student life, it was no wonder things went a little overboard. And when I say overboard, I mean absolutely off the rails.

Fast forward to the spring of 2012, when I had become overweight. I stuffed myself with anything and everything I could find. Clearly, something needed to be done. After a few months of healthy food and exercise, I came across some exciting literature on switching to a sugar-free diet and decided to give it a go.

The effects of cutting out the white stuff have been incredible. No more emotional rollercoasters or horrible cravings. I’ve lost a whole bunch of weight, improved my health in general and wound up with a healthier and happier body. It’s amazing. But my sweet tooth is still very much intact. And I still LOVE baking.

So now I’m on a mission, for myself and for you:
